First Post

This is my first official post as a blogger. I am not committing to this thing but only trying it out first. I'm not sure that I will have anything of importance or anything humorous to say but if my friends enjoy my updates then that is enough for me.

I've been up since around 6 a.m. No my baby hasn't come yet but for whatever reason I can't sleep worth a darn these days. My poor husband doesn't sleep well either with all my tossing and turning and what with 5 trips to the bathroom every night. I am looking forward to July getting here when hopefully my bladder returns to its normal condition and I get to hold my sweet Samuel.

Steve was just remarking last night that we have been in Birmingham for exactly one year ago yesterday. We can't believe what all has happened in one year. It seemed like when I was in my 20s time stood still and nothing happened. Then I hit 30 and I'm engaged, living overseas, getting married, moving to Tulsa, moving to Birmingham and now with child. It's a lot to take in for just two years. But if I had to sum up God in just one word I would say "Faithful." Over and over again in the past two years he has shown himself more faithful in my life than I ever hoped, dreamed or imagined. So I guess what I'm saying is I am thankful to be sitting here early in the morning in our own cute little living room with one roly poly cat and one very fat belly.
